I am proud that Hamza defended his PhD thesis, “A Framework for Designing and Analyzing Multimodal Learning Analytics Systems,” on September 23, 2024, at the Department of Computer Science and Media Technology at Malmö University. For the last 5 years, I have been his principal supervisor with support from Bo Petersen and Bato Vogel. Hamza’s work investigates how data-driven methods can improve the learning process. His work explores the intersection between those who design the technology and those who use it to investigate and understand how human learning occurs.
