A further DKK 3 million was awarded in 2022. The project Cirkus Naturligvis – the next Generation (CN2) works to create learning modules and dissemination activities that combine practical science studies, computational thinking, and innovation to strengthen the interest of primary and lower-secondary students in science and technology subjects.
Cirkus Naturligvis is part of the SCIENCE educational services division of the Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen. It is a unique science learning experience designed to ignite curiosity and enthusiasm for natural sciences! Whether you’re at home, school, or university, our program, Cirkus Naturligvis, transforms science education into an interactive and memorable journey. The program offers specialized courses for elementary school students from 4th to 10th grade, making complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging. Teachers can bring the magic of science to their classrooms with our in-school visits or dive deeper with hands-on experiences in our university laboratories. These courses are not only free of charge but are also deeply rooted in research-based knowledge.
Our instructors? They’re Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences students, bringing their expertise and passion directly to your students. We believe learning science can and should be fun, immersive, and inspiring – just like a circus, but for the mind!
