May 15, 2019: Together with Nina Bonderup Dohn from Southern Denmark University we examined Renate Andersen’s PhD dissertation, “Mutual Development in Online Collaborative Processes: Three Case Studies of Artifact Co-creation at Different Levels of Participation”. Andersen, successfully, completed her trial lecture and defended her dissertation and now is clear to apply to be formally a PhD. It was a rewarding and interesting experience to see how the School of Education at Oslo University handles the PhD defence compared to the Danish, Finnish, United Kingdom, and Swedish systems. An outstanding moment for the day were all the cakes Andersen’s friends and family made for the party.
